They put unique stuff and Item-on-discount at the entrance area so that people that pass by their shop will enter it.
Shops and supermarket are design in anti-clockwise order because most of the shoppers are right-handed. It makes them grab more stuff.
The shopping cart are big so that customer buy more stuff. If one person use the shopping cart and just buy 3 things, the shopping cart will look empty and he/she tend to buy more things to make it look full
Good quality and expensive item are place on the shelves at the right and at eye level. Cheap stuff are place at the lowest position at the shelves on the left. To encourage people to buy expensive things
